As we approach the one-year mark since the project kick-off, in May 2024 in Krakow, the project consortium continues to advance the development of the IMPULSE platform for creating multi-user virtual environments for cultural heritage.
Throughout last months, in the context of Work Package 2 – Immersive Technologies for Digital Heritage Upcycle (TECH), ongoing improvements have been made based on insights and technical feedback gathered during the February 18–20 workshop hosted by KU Leuven.
The development team, leaded by the Spatial Media Research Group at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, has since released two updated versions of the platform, addressing key issues and enhancing overall performance.
The latest version is now ready and will be tested during the upcoming co-creation workshop which will take place in Malta in September 2025, where consortium partners will engage in hands-on collaboration to further refine the prototype.
